The GPA vision is clear: “World of lasting peace –trusting on the power of reason, justice, democracy, economic equity and environmental integrity – where humans celebrate their diversity, respect their common values, and resolve their inevitable conflicts by non-violent means.” It is a vision we all can be proud of.

The GPA mission is “to empower people and their educational, cultural and other grassroots networks everywhere to build and sustain a culture of peace for generations to come.” It is a call to all peace-loving people in the world to step up to the plate and attend to the needful. If this call is not taken with the seriousness it deserves, the world will continue to be a place of tension, fear, and uncertainty, day in and day out. This may be why even Albert Einstein once said “the world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing .”
