The Global Peace Alliance Surrey Society (GPA) took part in the ‘Volunteering and Beyond’ event held at the Queen Elizabeth Secondary School in Surrey, BC on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016. It was organized and run by the Youth Transforming Society of Surrey. There was lots of interest in GPA and its programs and projects among the students gathered there. About fifty students signed in for volunteer work with GPA. At the same event GPA President Dr. R. B. Herath presented a copy of his latest book titled A New Beginning for Humankind: A Recipe for Lasting Peace on Earth to the school library. Both the students and teachers present appreciated the gesture.
